Nollywood's Hunting4Hubbies to premiere at London's Odeon Cinema on March 27

altNOLLYWOOD is set to step up its continued assault on the UK film market with the premiering of the new Nigerian film Hunting4Hubbies at the Odeon Cinema in Greenwich on Friday March 27.

Showing as part of the process to sell Nollywood's film to not only the 2m strong UK diaspora but the wider society too, the film is about four ambitious young women who will do what it takes to win their ultimate goal, someone else’s husband. A modern story set in
London, it is brought to the screen with fresh new talent, world class visuals and international standard original sound.

Featuring Nollywood actresses Marie Kumba Gomez, Sheyi Ajibola, Ronke Ogunmakin and Lorraine Stodel,  Hunting 4 Hubbies is about femme fatales  tired of the shrinking pool of men to rip off. They decide to up their game by taking up a new  racket- get married, get divorced and take half.

Film spokesman DJ Abass Tijani, said: "Unfortunately, with so many men in England too hesitant to walk down the aisle, they decide they have to choose the easiest targets, those who have been caught before, the married ones. Tapiwa Madovi, Amour Owolabi, Orwi Imanuel Ameh and Nosa Igbinedion are the unwitting  hubbies who get caught up in the girls’ runs whilst UK Big Brother 5  star Victor Ebuwa is the powerful gang leader who finds his Achilles’ heel in Aisha (Sheyi Ajibola).

"This hilarious, dramatic and surprising thriller will have you on the edge of your seat following  the fast paced action. Talented young director, Yinka Idowu, makes his feature film directorial debut in this story of  lust, love and betrayal."

Known in film production circles as Rex the Visioner, Mr Idowu is a multi-talented and multi-faceted young new director who has recently transitioned from music videos, fashion photography and short films into the arena of feature film-making.

His firm belief that films made by Africans, telling African stories and featuring African actors,  can be naturalistic and authentic, without ignoring high production values or sacrificing quality, is  showcased in his debut feature Hunting 4 Hubbies. Working with a young and vibrant cast and crew of mostly unknowns, Yinka has produced and  directed an international standard film with great cinematography and world class picture and  sound quality.
